Manager – Fund Accounting

Reporting to the General Manager Finance, you’ll lead and manage the Fund Accounting team to ensure that fund accounting and administration deliverables are produced accurately and on time, through effective oversight and efficient monitoring of our external service providers.

Service Delivery

• Oversight of deliverables for all Funds, SPVs and Institutional Mandates on a timely and accurate basis
• Ensure integrity of investor registers (held at service provider)
• Ensure accuracy and oversight of unit pricing on monthly basis
• Ensure processes are optimised and efficient with adequate level of controls and review.
• Ensure the setting up of new Funds and investment structures (inter-funding etc.) is effective and efficient.
• Liaise with auditors and service providers regarding preparation and audit of annual financial statements.
• Liaise with Client Services (Onboarding) and Fund Administrator as necessary to ensure application forms are issued and returned on a timely basis
• Assist fund administrator in preparation of all necessary letters and registers relevant to investors’ investment

Service Provider Management

• Monitor performance of external fund administrator compared with SLA in conjunction with MaxCap Operations
• Input into Steering Committee meetings with Service Providers

Team Management

• Lead the team by example, set expectations and hold people accountable to behaving in line with the values
• Provide regular and balanced feedback to direct reports to enable their performance and development
• Regularly communicate with the team to influence engagement and awareness of important priorities and key initiatives

• A Bachelor’s Degree (eg. Accounting, Commerce) or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g. Commerce, Finance, Business)
• 3+ years’ experience gained within Investment Accounting from a Funds Management or Custody background
• Strong experience in reviewing unit pricing, reconciliations and distributions
• Advanced Excel, communication, and leadership skills
