Associate Director – Credit Risk

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our Risk Team. Reporting to the Head of Credit, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing expert property and credit risk advice for debt funded loans written by MaxCap.

• Work collaboratively with the investment teams on credit proposals.
• Provide timely transaction structuring guidance and set out required risk mitigants for all project, counterparty and repayment risks.
• Critically review ITS and IM content and provide support and/or commercial recommendations required.
• Work with key stakeholders to opine and advise upon the suitability of proposed security structures to the credit/property risks assessed.
• Provide expert credit and property risk advice and detailed transaction analysis to the IC.
• Support the Head of Credit to deliver portfolio risk assessments which monitor for stress, and report on quality and key compliance risks.
• Assist in identifying specific at-risk or potential exposures and develop solutions.
• Provide credit/asset risk insights to assist in the management of stressed exposures.
• Report to the Risk Committee and Audit & Compliance Committee on portfolio health and key risks.

• Experience in a similar credit related role within Financial Services or Commercial Property (Banks, Financial Institutions, development, Private Investment Firms / Groups or related professional).
• Strong commercial property finance acumen.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to articulate and persuasively present critical arguments.
