Hugh Thomson

Hugh Thomson is Director, Capital at MaxCap Group, bringing 15 years of experience in real estate capital markets. Based in Sydney and part of the Capital team, he specialises in cross border capital flows into Australia and plays a vital role in creating new capital partnerships across MaxCap’s product suite. Before joining MaxCap Group, Hugh worked at CBRE in Singapore and Hong Kong, where he gained expertise in broadly across Asia, working on significant capital raising and asset disposition assignments. With a strong background in capital markets, structuring and real estate underwriting, he has contributed significantly to the growth of MaxCap’s evergreen fund and the introduction of multiple new to business mandates. Hugh holds a Master of Business (Applied Finance) and a Bachelor of Design (Architectural Studies, Property Economics) from Queensland University of Technology.
