Head of Communications – Fixed Term

As Head of Communications, you will lead the fund manager’s strategic communications and marketing activities, including the execution of an integrated communications and marketing strategy focused on protecting and promoting MaxCap Group’s brand and reputation.

Reporting to the Group Head of Capital, you will provide trusted advice to the Executive Team, Capital and Investment teams, leading a broad portfolio spanning media relations, marketing and brand, issues management, investor and internal communications. You will also manage a direct report.

• Deliver an integrated communications and marketing strategy, aligned with the business’ key priorities.
• Lead proactive media engagement, thought leadership and content strategy to elevate our profile.
• Provide expert advice to executives on communications, brand positioning, issues and reputation management.
• Oversee investor communications, providing counsel to the Capital and Client Services teams on best-practice client engagement.
• Drive internal communications that enhance engagement with our strategy, projects and partnerships.
• Manage crisis communications, ensuring readiness and effective response to reputational risks.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with media, investors, borrowers and strategic partners.
• Proven ability to effectively manage a team, including supporting your direct report’s personal development and growth ambitions.

• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong media instincts and experience in proactive and reactive media engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in issues and crisis management.
• Experience leading integrated communications strategies across multiple channels.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels.
• A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
• Direct experience in private credit and/or commercial real estate would be advantageous.
