Manny Arabatzis is a senior risk and credit leader with more than 35 years of experience across complex credit, risk, banking, and investment environments. He is currently Chief Investment Officer at Zagame Corporation, where he brings deep expertise across capital allocation, risk oversight, and investment governance.
Manny’s recent executive experience includes his role as Chief Risk Officer at MaxCap, where he led the Risk & Credit function and played a central role in developing and executing the firm’s risk framework, overseeing credit and compliance functions and ensuring alignment between risk strategy and business objectives. Prior to this, he held the role of Chief Risk Officer at Export Finance Australia (EFA), leading the group-wide risk function and overseeing the implementation of compliance, credit, and reporting platforms. His career also includes senior executive risk and credit leadership roles at IAG, as Divisional Chief Risk Officer, and more than 16 years at ANZ, culminating in his role as Managing Director, Credit & Capital Management, Institutional Banking. In addition, Manny held senior business, risk, and credit roles at National Australia Bank (NAB), including Managing Director, Global Head of Securitisation and Global Head of Credit.
Manny holds a Master’s in Applied Finance from the Macquarie Applied Finance Centre, a Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Economics, Finance, and Banking from La Trobe University. He is a member of RMA and FINSIA and contributes to a range of advisory and governance engagements, including Argiro Credit Platforms. He has also previously served on the Macquarie University Risk Advisory Board and several ANZ Bank subsidiary boards.
