Joan Perryman is Chief Operating Officer at MaxCap, bringing more than 25 years of operational experience across wealth management, superannuation and investment management. Based in Melbourne, Joan leads the firm’s Operations, Client Services and Technology teams, with expertise in operating model transformation, third-party service provider management, operational excellence and investor servicing. She plays a key role in strengthening MaxCap’s operational capability and delivering an institutional-grade investor experience.
Before joining MaxCap, Joan held senior leadership roles at Vanguard Australia and Qualitas. Most recently, she served as Head of Service Partnerships & Readiness at Vanguard, where she led teams responsible for strategic partnerships, operational readiness and delivery assurance across Vanguard’s Personal Investor business, spanning superannuation and direct investments. Prior to this, Joan was Head of Operations at Qualitas, overseeing operations and client servicing functions supporting real estate debt and equity strategies for institutional and high-net-worth clients, while driving significant operational transformation initiatives.
Throughout her career, Joan has developed deep expertise in investment operations, outsourcing, custody and fund administration, governance, service delivery and organisational change, contributing to the growth, scalability and resilience of leading investment management businesses.
Joan holds a Diploma in Financial Services from Dublin Business School.
