The Asian Executive Melbourne Cup Charity Ball

The Asian Executive’s Melbourne Cup Charity Ball 2015 was embraced by the real estate and financial services communities, with many representatives from Australia’s largest Asian developers and industry consultants in attendance.

MaxCap was a proud corporate sponsor of the Publisher’s annual event held on Friday 30^th October, which this year was James Bond themed and included exclusive performances by Kate Ceberano with a live orchestra and The Australian Girls’ Choir.

This year’s event captured the attention of senior political leaders with the presence of Federal Minister for Trade and Investment, Andrew Robb AO MP, Victorian Tourism Minister and Major Event, John Eren MP, Victorian Attorney General and Racing Minister, Martin Pakula MP. Australia’s largest trading partner, China was represented by The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Song Yumin.

The exciting phantom race call, now the signature part of the event, was broadcast by Federal Member for Menzies, the Hon. Kevin Andrews MP.

The evening was heralded as a success with over 1,000 corporate guests in attendance and net proceeds from the live auction, silent ballot bidding, phantom race call and pledges donated to the Victoria Racing Club’s 2015 charity partner, the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
