Associate Director, Construction Risk

Introduction

Reporting to the Construction Risk Director, you will play a key role in assessing, managing and monitoring construction risk across a portfolio of development projects. Working closely with Investment, Credit and Legal teams, you will provide construction risk expertise throughout the transaction lifecycle, from due diligence and credit assessment through to project completion.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess construction risk on new lending opportunities and existing projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and review development feasibilities.
  • Assess builders, developers and key project participants.
  • Review consultant, QS and project reports and identify emerging risks.
  • Manage drawdowns, contingency releases and project monitoring.
  • Provide input into credit submissions and investment memoranda.
  • Build strong relationships with borrowers, consultants and investors.

Selection Criteria

About You:

  • Background in quantity surveying, project management, property development or construction risk.
  • Strong commercial property and construction knowledge.
  • Experience reviewing development projects from a financier, consultant or developer perspective.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building or a related discipline.
